Is Your child in kindergarten or nursery? Don’t miss this!

The next 3 minutes could be a life-changing event for your child. Don't miss it!

You've probably heard of phonics before, but never really thought about how this teaching method works or if it would help with literacy skills in school? Well now you have the chance to find out as I will explain everything simply and effortlessly !

Let's try to understand this simply by comparing two different children in the same situation !!

JOHN

High                      sigh           sight           fright                 tight         tonight

Flight        bright    fight           light            plight           might

Knight        night                  slight              delight             twilight

Right                        thigh                                highlight                           might

Midnight      tightly              spotlight                             sunlight             moonlight

JOHN has to learn all these 30 words.

The mother and teacher are working hard to help John learn new words, but he keeps forgetting them. They focus on repeating these words over again so the child remembers them for a lifetime. After many months of practice, John starts remembering how it is supposed to be said correctly. John has to be reminded of the words every few months by Mother and Teacher.

EMMA

“/Igh rule”

The /igh sound is a trigraph, meaning three letters which, when put together, create one sound.

EMMA has to learn ONLY the Rule

And practise 30 words by using the “igh rule”

Emma learnt the “igh rule” in one hour using and spent six more hours practising the words. After that, Emma is able to pronounce the sounds of not just these 30 words but 100s of other words which follow the same rule. All this with minimal effort from herself as well as the teacher and mother!

Now, you can see that in the above two cases the difference is of teaching methodology which can create huge difference in the effort spent by the child and the mother and in overall child’s academic life

Phonics is nothing but a set of rules, Tricks, Tips that actually work !

Make the best out of these new and creative teaching methods for your child.
